The Atlantis Resort is a welcoming place with beautiful stretches of beaches, multiple swimming pools to choose from and acres of water fun. The Resort’s Aquaventure features water slides, a river ride, pools and many surprises along the way. The River Ride is a mile long ride taking riders through waves and rapids and up to a water slide; all without ever leaving the inner tube.
Families can enjoy water sports, like snorkeling, scuba diving, snuba, and kayaking for nominal fees every day. Tours can be arranged for scuba diving, snorkeling, boating tours, fishing and more. Dolphin Cay provides the opportunity to “swim with the dolphins” and participate in dolphin feeding time every day.
Atlantis Accommodations
With six different accommodation styles, families are sure to find a room or suite that fits their needs. The Reef, is Atlantis’ newest accommodations addition with elegantly appointed and extremely spacious rooms and suites. Other accommodations offer more casual living space for every size family. The resort provides shuttles running every 5 to 10 minutes depending on the time of day, between each hotel on the resort so individuals can easily get to and from their destination of choice.
Atlantis Dining
With over 21 restaurants resort-wide, every member of the family is sure to find something they will love. From fine dining and gourmet restaurants to casual restaurants and buffets, the food is nothing like what you typically expect from an all inclusive resorts. Enjoy top notch dining and savory cuisine at every restaurant on the resort. For lunch, stop at any of a number of pool side eateries for burgers, hotdogs or salads. The prices are on the steep side at these locations so be prepared.
Be sure to make dinner reservations either prior to arrival or at the beginning of your stay as time slots book up fast. Also make sure you arrive prior to 9:00 PM for dinner seating or call to verify the latest time the restaurant seats for dinner if reservations are not needed. Also check the dress code for each restaurant before heading out.
Dining plans can be purchased before arrival and are highly recommended. By purchasing the dining plans in advance, families will not have to worry about the price tag of the various dining options. There are three dining plans to choose from but these plans do not include drinks or lunches. These extra costs add up quickly, so be prepared for the charges on your bill at check out. If you do not purchase the dining plan at least 3 days prior to arrival, the opportunity is lost, so plan ahead!
The Atlantis – More to Enjoy
The Atlantis Resort features a casino, pottery painting, a kids club, an adult’s night club and a teen night club. The kids club will be opening their expanded Club in December, 2010 and will include so much for kids to enjoy, like a cooking center, art center, more aquatic fun, and enhancements to already existing activities. There is a race way where children can build and race their own race cars and scheduled activities daily. Parents can drop their children off to enjoy activities throughout the day.
